I recently upgraded my studio/media desktop system to Windows 7.
Previously with XP, the system would blank the monitor after 15 minutes, and sleep after 30 minutes. Now it never sleeps, and never even turns off the monitor. I can come back the next day, and the computer is still running at full power with the monitor turned on. Strangely, the new Windows 7 power diagnostic command "POWERCFG.EXE -REQUESTS" does not show anything is keeping the system from sleeping or turning off the monitor.

After working through a painstaking, tedious process of unplugging every attached device one by one, and waiting for a sleep interval for each, I isolated the problem to my ShuttlePRO V2. When the ShuttlePRO is disconnected, the system will blank the monitor and sleep like it used to with XP.

Needless to say, the behavior is unsatisfactory. Digging around behind the computer to unplug and replug the Shuttle every time I use it is not an acceptable solution. Is Contour aware of the problem? When will there be a fix?

That issue is answered in the FAQ's here on the forum. It seems to be a hardware incompatibility with Vista and Windows 7 and the Shuttle hardware. The new Shuttles that are currently shipping should not have this issue.

twocargar is right. The new Shuttles that are now in stock do not have this issue. Thanks for your inquiry.
